Dual Camera Print Verification System for leaflets :

A very efficiently designed system that contains two smart cameras from Baumer, Germany. This is a Quality Assurance System for Leaflet Folding Machines. 

One camera verifies an area on the upper surface of the leaflet whereas the other verifies an area on the lower surface of the same leaflet while it is running on the folding machine.

Both cameras can perform various checks mentioned below -

·         Blank sheet / print presence

·         Online Character Recognition (OCR) and Online Character Verification (OCV)

·         1D barcodes including pharmacodes with verification of their value to prevent  mixups

·         2D barcodes including QR and Data matrix codes with verification of their  value

Hence, the  system can be used for all types of leaflets whether with or without barcodes.

System Description :

 System consists of a touch screen industrial Panel Computer (fanless for industrial environment), 2 smart cameras from Baumer, Baumer sensor, an encoder and a control unit. This system easily facilitates the user to set the parameters of the job and shows the live images of the leaflets taken by the cameras simultaneously. The cameras are mounted on the machine in such a way that horizontal movement of the cameras is very easy and the vertical adjustment of cameras or sensors required in minimal. This system comes with a simple to use and operator friendly GUI. We provide two versions currently:

Basic Version:

- Pattern matching

- Reading and verifying 1D codes (including barcodes and pharmacodes)

- Reading and verifying 2D codes (including data matrix and QR codes)
