Dual Camera Print Verification System for leaflets :

 A very efficiently designed system that contains two smart cameras from Baumer, Germany. The system is used for the verification of the correctness of Pharma leaflets/inserts and outserts. The cameras are installed on a leaflet folding machine. One camera verifies an area on the upper surface of the leaflet whereas the other verifies an area on the lower surface of the same leaflet while it is running on the folding machine.

The cameras are extremely intelligent. They are capable of reading and verifying the following:

·         Blank sheet / print presence

·         Online Character Recognition (OCR) and Online Character Verification (OCV)

·         1D barcodes including pharmacodes with verification of their value to prevent  mixups

·         2D barcodes including QR and Data matrix codes with verification of their  value

 Hence, the system can be used for all types of leaflets whether with or without barcodes.

Action against defect:

Machine Stop :

 The system generates a “Machine stop” signal against any defective leaflet passing through any of the two cameras. The operator must acknowledge the error and remove the defective sheet. The defect image is displayed on the screen.

 Ejection :

 In case the machine is equipped with “Ejection” mechanism, our dual camera system is capable of ejecting the defective sheet without stopping the machine.
